School of Visual Arts

The Yazi School of Visual Arts offers a unique learning opportunity. Instruction is conducted by the internationally acclaimed master artist Jacob Pichhadze, whose exhibitions were held in museums, galleries and cultural institutions around the world.

The school specializes in the disciplines of painting and drawing. Studies can be pursued in any one of a range of styles, from classical to modern. Students are free to explore the motifs of the figure, portraiture, landscape, and still-life, among others.

At the Yazi School of Visual Arts each student follows a customized curriculum of study that is best suited to accommodate the individual experience, needs and objectives of the student. This makes possible a more effective, efficient, and fulfilling learning experience. The school is dedicated to providing both the novice and the experienced artists the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to become successful visual artists. To help promote the students of the school, Yazi Gallery seasonally organizes solo and group exhibitions of selected students’ artwork.

Admission to the school is based on an interview. This is the opportunity for the candidate to present his/her background and experience in visual arts, as well as discuss interests and objectives, both as a student and as a visual artist. There is a non-refundable fee for the interview. Both novice and experienced students are welcome.

Students admitted to the program can register on seasonal or annual basis (subject to availability, in which case the student may ask to be put on a waiting list). Students must enroll for a minimum of 12 sessions. Each student is placed on a customized schedule of classes. Sessions may be taken once a week or multiple times per week; and are available in morning, midday, or evening hours. Contact us to schedule an interview.
